Restaurant Systems Fire Suppression Service

New construction or renovation of an existing commercial or industrial kitchen requires a fire system that is suitable for the intended use. Spears Fire & Safety Services will design and install an automatic fire suppression system that meets the requirements of UL300 and the National Fire Protection Association's pamphlets 17,1 7A and 96. Spears Fire & Safety Services will also provide the services required by code on a six-month schedule.

• System operable
• All seals intact
• System discharged
• System tampered with
• Pressure gauge in operable range
• Cable properly tensioned
• Cable travel tolerance acceptable
• Heat detector(s) cleaned and inspected
• Fusible links replaced
• Proper number of links
• Proper placement of links
• Integral system release operable
• Remote release operable
• Gas shutoff valve operable
• Micro-switch electric shutoff operable
• Piping free from obstructions
• Piping properly supported
• Conduit free from obstructions
• Conduit properly supported
• Nozzles properly aligned
• Required number of nozzles
• Nozzles clean
• Nozzle caps in place
• Cylinder inspected
• Hydrostatic test date noted
• Exhaust fan operable
• Grease filters present
• Hood and duct free of grease
• System tagged
• Fire extinguishers present and properly serviced
